Kookaburras are terrestrial tree kingfishers of the genus Dacelo native to Australia and New Guinea, which grow to between 28–42 cm in length. The name is a loanword from Wiradjuri guuguubarra, onomatopoeic of its call. JigMagic doesn’t explain how this situation arose, but it’s entertaining nonetheless. On the back porch, two Kookaburras were fighting over a piece of meat and became stuck in a tug of war stalemate. Adding more meat into the equation didn’t seem to help.
